Nintendo Switch Repair in Natick, MA
Nintendo Switch, OLED, and Switch Lite repair — Joy-Con drift, cracked screens, USB-C charging ports, and dock HDMI / TV-output faults. Joy-Con drift is the most common Switch fault: the analog sticks wear internally and start reading movement with nothing touching them, and we rebuild or replace the stick module that causes it. Which unit you own changes the repair, though. On the original Switch and the Switch OLED the Joy-Cons detach, so drift is fixed in the controller itself; on the Switch Lite the sticks are built into the body, so the same repair means opening the console. The three models differ in other ways that matter for a diagnosis — the original Switch has a 6.2-inch LCD, the OLED a larger 7.0-inch OLED panel with a sturdier wide kickstand and a wired-LAN dock, and the Lite is a 5.5-inch handheld-only unit with no dock or TV output at all. We also replace cracked screens, worn USB-C charging ports (the single most-used connector on a docked Switch), and fix the loss of picture that usually traces to the dock's HDMI-driver chip rather than the console: a Switch that plays fine handheld but shows nothing docked is almost always a dock or port fault. Because these systems changed across revisions, we confirm the exact model and the real failing part before opening anything. WeFixPhones handles nintendo switch repair for customers across Natick, MA and nearby towns, typically in under an hour.

Nintendo Switch Repair — questions
How much is a Joy-Con drift repair?
Joy-Con stick repairs are one of our most affordable fixes — we quote the exact price after a quick check.
My Switch will not show on the TV — is the console broken?
Often it is the dock or its HDMI-driver chip, not the console. TV output runs from the console through the dock, so a Switch that plays perfectly in handheld mode but gives a black screen docked has usually lost the dock or the USB-C port — we test the console, the dock, and the cable and repair only the part that failed.
My Switch Lite has stick drift — is it the same fix as a regular Switch?
The cause is the same worn analog stick, but the repair is more involved. On the original Switch and OLED the Joy-Cons pop off, so we fix the stick in the detached controller. The Lite's controls are built into the body, so reaching its sticks means opening the console itself — we still repair or replace the same stick module, it just takes more disassembly.
Will my Switch charge from any USB-C charger or cable?
Not always. The Switch charges over USB-C but needs a charger that supplies enough power over USB Power Delivery — an underpowered phone charger may charge it slowly or fail to keep up during play, and a worn or lint-packed port can stop charging entirely. We test the port, the board's charging circuit, and your cable so you know whether it is the port or the charger at fault.
Do I need a special microSD card for the original Switch?
No — the original Switch, OLED, and Lite all take a standard microSDXC card for extra storage, so a card that "won't work" is usually formatted wrong rather than incompatible. Only the newer Switch 2 requires the faster microSD Express type. We can check the slot and the card if games will not save or install.

Nintendo Switch repair in Natick, MA — the faults we see most
One preventable failure sends more original Switches to our Natick bench than any other: a cheap third-party dock or wall charger can push the wrong voltage and kill the console’s M92T36 charging-control chip, so a Switch that suddenly won’t charge even though the USB-C port looks perfect is often that chip, not the battery — using Nintendo’s own dock and charger avoids it, and we can replace the chip when it goes. Stick drift is the other regular, but not every drifting stick needs surgery: a recalibration in System Settings sometimes settles a mild case, and only a truly worn potentiometer needs a new stick module — which on the detachable controllers is a Joy-Con repair, while on the Switch Lite it means opening the console. Cracked screens split by model: the OLED’s panel and its touch layer are fused, so a broken OLED is replaced as one assembly, whereas the original LCD Switch separates the outer glass from the display, so a cracked-glass-but-working unit can sometimes be a cheaper glass-only screen repair. A Switch that runs hot and throws a temperature warning in the dock is usually just a dust-choked fan we can clean. A hardware repair never wipes your saves or games — those stay on the console and your microSD. We also service the Switch 2 and the wider Nintendo lineup.
